About Me

 

 

I was raised in South West Colorado and understand the concerns of growth and economic viability in this region. After having spent my youth hiking or Jeeping throughout the region, I moved to Albuquerque where I obtained a degree from the University of New Mexico and worked for several years as a consultant for several non-profit, private sector and governmental entities. Having worked with this variety of entities, I am able to pull on this experiences when working with customers to maintain higher levels of service and communication, in negotiating transactions, the detail placed in subtle aspects of contracting and in maintaining positive relations with buyers, sellers and other real estate professionals; all to insure the smoothest possible transaction.

 

I and my wife, Jeanne, having both originally been from large metropolitan areas (I was born and spent summers in Detroit, MI), appreciate having the opportunity to raise our daughter, Faythe (age 5), in South West Colorado. We are avid fun seekers and during family time can be found skiing, riding snow mobiles, relaxing in area hot springs, rock climbing, hiking, horse back riding, riding four wheelers / motocross, fishing, waterskiing / wakeboarding, white water rafting! Faythe is currently learning to swim, and is excited to be racing BMX, learning to water ski and playing soccer this spring.  We currently live on a small 10 acre farm and are remodeling a 1940’s farm house where we often have barbeques and the neighborhood kids swim in the pond and ride motorcycles in the back property.


 


 

After having managed another real estate firm in Durango, Colorado I had the opportunity to open my own office in July 2003. CENTURY 21 Premiere, Inc. was structured and currently maintains about 20 licensed brokers, with licensees in both Colorado and New Mexico and memberships in the Durango Area Association of Realtors, Colorado Real Estate Network, San Juan County Board of Realtors (NM) and the Santa Fe Board of Realtors (NM). I built the office on a philosophy of working to be a resource in the community, building business based on knowledge of the area, having a strong comprehension of real estate regulations and maintaining the highest level of ethical standards. This philosophy has brought together a cohesive team of associates who all work to be the best at what they do and how they do it! I can honestly say I enjoy going to work and enjoy working with every person in the office!

 

After working with several buyers looking for high end ranches / riverfront parcels as well as working to market one of the areas larger riverfront ranches, I found there was very little available on the web in a single resource. After hours and hours of exhausting research, and then the working to re-iterate as much of this information back to my clients as they could take in (prior to their eyes glazing over), which usually consisted of hours of phone conversation. As you can imagine this was NOT the most effective way to express key information. Therefore, I have / am developing this site to be a comprehensive information resource on ranch / estate properties for both my clients and those just trying to find answers that might not be as readily available!
