It has always been popular in pop culture from the days of Fred Harmon’s “Red Ryder and Little Beaver” to more recently with movies like “City Slickers”. While it may surprise many, the days of cattle driving and days working the fence lines are still very much a part of the American West.
Most look to this region for more resort based activities such as Skiing, hiking, biking, Narrow Gauge Trains, Ice Climbing, fishing and somewhat for equestrian guest ranches. However, there is a push now, as much as ever, for Gentlepersons Ranches all over the Rocky Mountain region. For people looking to live a small part of what they saw in “The Horse Whisperer” or who want to settle back into their childhood love or horse ownership and living on the farm!

For those who are looking to enjoy this lifestyle, it is imperative to educate yourself on all the dynamics this can bring! I created this site after working with several clients who searched in desperation for information about irrigation, soils, land rights and so on, so they could read on their own at home and only to find that there was little to nothing out there without having to spend hours searching online for general information. It is even more difficult to find information specific to our region. Therefore, this site was designed (and is still being developed) to include informational pages on purchasing property as well general farm and ranch information in a single location. Hopefully your questions will either be answered directly or will you will find links to resources that will answer them (but in either situation will save you from having to search for hours to find this information in bits and pieces!)
If there is something that you are unable to find on here, please contact me and I will obtain the information for you and post it on here. As I said, I am still building this site and every bit of feedback I get will only serve to help others!
